From time to time we get asked this question from both job seekers and families. We hope the following helps:

Families

Peace of mind

Finding somebody to take care of your little one can appear overwhelming and daunting. There are many things to consider such as how do I find a nanny, what sort of nanny is the right fit to responsibilities as an employer. We have a wealth of experience and are kept up to date with the latest boxes you should be ticking. We take time to chat through all of your requirements and ensure we are putting the right candidates forward to avoid any unnecessary time wasting. We pride ourselves on our personal approach - the more we know about you the smoother things will run. We understand how important finding the right person to work in your home is and we strive to make the whole process as straightforward as possible. We will provide you with all the tools you need including tax and pension information, employee rights and a nanny contract. We urge you to contact us any time with any questions you may have.

Time

Busy parents have a lot to juggle without sifting through mountains of CVs, many of which may not be the right fit for your family. We only send you details of candidates that we feel are going to be a good match. We set up interviews, be it phone, Skype or face-to face. We do all of the background checks from seeing ID and qualifications to taking up references and ensuring a nanny has the right to work in the UK, as well as a current DBS and First Aid in place. Many of our nannies come back to us time and time again enabling us to build strong relationships.

Nannies

Ok, so most agencies just look after the clients’ interests so why would I need to register with one - can’t I just try and find a job on my own?

Agency registration

As a nanny you need to come and meet with us. You can expect to be with us for around an hour. We will discuss with you what you are looking for in your new job and advise on any questions you may have. We do need to see originals of your ID, written references, and any qualifications you hold and we need to be able to verify a minimum of two references. You will, hopefully, find us approachable and keen to ensure that your rights are protected. You are, after all, a professional undertaking a responsible role. We do pride ourselves in the fact that many of our nannies come back to us time and time again enabling us to build strong relationships.

Interviews

We try and provide you with helpful interview tips and try and assist you in getting that job. Busy parents have a lot to juggle without sifting through mountains of CVs and rely on us to send over only candidates that fit their criteria and that have the relevant experience and/or qualification, verifiable references and, of course, the right to work in the UK.

Knowledge and support for all parties

We have been doing this a long time, we enjoy our role and want happy nannies and happy families. We will provide you with all of the support you need pre and post placement and will always be sensitive to your needs. In addition to nannies returning to us asking us to help them in their search, families also return to us when a new search is required, hence we are able to build great relationships with both parties. Balancing the needs of both childcarers and parents is something we strive for.
